More Info In Vitro at 45From: LORNA (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Sep 1997 16:36:31 -0500 (CDT)
Thank you Kelly for your response but I still have some questions and some more information about my problems with getting pregant. We were trying to have a baby when we found out that my husband was hiv+ in 1989. I tried artificial insemanation several months and had no luck. I was on Clomid and estrogen taking my temp the whole thing and no luck. When I turned forty I lost hope so we quit trying. Now with all these women getting pregant in their 50's I started to think it may not be too late. The reason I started to think about IVF is that an embryo is implanted to the uterus and it's seems to me that would reduce the chance of infection to me. I'm also concerned about wheather they can use my ovaries at 45? I know IVF is expensive but almost every day I think about children. Do you think any Doctor would consider this as an option?
