I believe the reason for the High Carbohydrate intake it to hit the maximine level and then the test is based on your HIGH results. I know this sounds confusing but think of it like this: If your max. level is at a certain number WITH extra carbos then the test reveals your High at Maximum.

Trust me on this one the LAB knows what they are looking for and so does the physician.intake.
