Hi Gang,

We're back from Seattle. Great city!

I was responding to a post on the OB-GYN-L and thought you guys might be interested too so I'm copying it here:

GOSH!!!

I think I'll order several hundred copies and wallpaper my office with them! Press like this money can't buy! I didn't even know it was on the street until the OB/GYN Management gal at AAGL brought a copy over to our booth. I had been interviewed several months ago by phone and ran off endlessly at the mouth as usual. Looks like he liked what he heard. :-)

I'll call them today first to thank them for a wonderful article and to reciprocate with one about them...it really is a good mag, you guys out of the US need access to some of these articles. Second to get permission to reprint the one about OBGYN.net on the site.

To give you an update on our success with getting advertisers and sponsors let me say things are really starting to break (besides our bank account)! Kevin had such good results with the Midol test on the Women's Health side, and Barbara got such great testimonials from women and doctors et al, that we're moving into the proposal stage for the Bayer 98 budget!

Mark Perloe stumped his butt off at AAGL, as he did at FIGO, for OBGYN.net sponsorship with the equipment people. We are now entering serious proposal discussions with the folks from Circon, FemRX, Everest and the new combo of ImaGyn and Richard Allen and several others too. What I like about all these equipment companies is that they are really interested in doing serious education pieces not just running ads.

We had the chance to meet with a lot of OBGYN.netters and to make some new friends too. Also, we sold web development services for several physicians and clinics.

I met David Olive, MD who has been put in charge of AAGL's committee to improve their web services and we are going to be discussing how OBGYN.net can be a part of that. What a charmer he is. :-) Aside apparently from being a world class surgeon.

I also spoke to several physicians who are running great web sites on particular topics. It seems like it's time to develop that joint advertising pool to help these great sister sites make money that we have always dreamed of doing. This will be good for OBGYN.net by adding physician driven content, good for advertisers by increasing their reach, and should make some money for everyone in the bargain.

I really want to thank Omnia for hosting us at the show. Dr. Jeff Levy, their education guru really made that happen. FYI Omnia has just about the best CD-ROMS for OB/Gyn specific education you could ever want to get your hands on.

Their web site is at:http://www.omnialink.com/link.htm

We are going to be doing a redesign for them and making it possible to purchase their video's and CD-ROMS on line. This stuff is really first rate. After standing next to their monitor for three days I now feel ready to start doing advanced laparoscopic procedures myself...well maybe I'll pass on that idea and stick to the Internet. ;-)

It is great to be busy doing real proposals for real companies who see real value in obgyn.net and want to be part of it, instead of writing business plans for venture capitalists that want us to show them how fast we can cash out.

I think we have a good shot at being at ASRM as a guest of one of the equipment folks so I better get working on that proposal...

Thanks guys for sticking with us, 40,000 individual user sessions in August...NOT BAD!!! Do you think it is all really just Dan Braun hitting the RELOAD Button???

Love to all, Roberta
