post endometrial ablation cramping

February of 97 I had diagnostic hysteroscopy and D&C for extremely heavy bleeding. Pathology showed simple endometrial hyperplasia. Over the next several months, I continued to have heavy bleeding not controlled with Provera. I was unable to take BCP's due to hypertension, elevated cholesterol and triglycerides. On 7/28 I had an ablation done. The pathology showed endometrium and spindle cells suggestive of submucous leiomyoma. My Dr. had noted prior to hysteroscopy an enlarged uterus and was suspicious of "fibroid". At the time of the D&C, she saw so much endometrial tissue, she thought I had cancer. My question is, will the ablation solve the bleeding problem if it was not only due to hyperplasia but also a leiomyoma? So far I have not had any bleeding, only cramping off and on . (The cramping has been occurring almost on a daily basis for the last 4 weeks.) An interesting aside, my Dr. never mentioned the pathology report results to me. I read my medical records. (I know, nosey aren't I?) Thanks for any insight you can give me.
