Red Flow 10 Days PostpartumFrom: Peggy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 27 Sep 1997 16:58:14 -0700
Hi, I gave birth ten days ago, and I'm somewhat concerned because I was told my flow would change to brown by the third day afterwards, but it is still red. My obstetrician is out of town, so I couldn't talk to her, but her nurse (who has given me questionable advice in the past) didn't seem to be worried about it at all because I don't feel light-headed, and I'm not soaking a pad every hour. But I have been passing a lot of small clots (marble-sized) and a few golf ball sized ones as well, and the number and size of the clots seems to be increasing. I also had a slight fever last night (a little over 100), and quite a bit of pelvic pain. My temp has gone down to 99 now, though. Is all this indicative of something, or am I being paranoid? Thanks in advance, Peggy
