I was 35 when a lump was found in my breast. It was benign thank God but it is ridiculous not to have mamograms till you are fifty. If that lump would have been there inside of me for that long, perhaps it would have been cancerous then.

My OBGYN has me take a mamogram every year since I had that lump. It used to be every 6 months at the beginning but since there has been no changes he made it every year. With my fibrocystic breast disease no telling what could happen.
