Usually the heparin is started once you are actually pregnant.

Pregnacy increases the risk of blood clots. Serious infections can increase the risk of blood clots. The combination of the two is bad. If your anticardiolipin and lupus anticoagulant tests were negative, it's probably not a problem with you or your blood.

It's perfectly natural that you're scared, considering what you went through. I've had 2 miscarriages, and I've been absolutely, positively petrified to try to get pregnant again for fear of having another miscarriage. Remember that you have good doctors who have a plan already for treating you in a future pregnancy. If you find some magic way to get rid of the fear, please let me know!
