To be sick with a blood clot must have made the situation even worse. Although nothing in this world is 100%, I would consider the polyp a possible but very rare (and I mean *very* rare) and unusual possibility for all your problems. Pelvic thrombophlebitis is a very unusual complication (I know it doesn't help to hear that, but it's true). Without a source for infection (septic thrombophlebitis) and without a positive finding on the LAC (lupus anticoagulant) or ACA (anti-cardiolipin antibody), I think the cause will probably be unknown. This should not affect conceiving but care should be taken due to prior thrombophlebitis because there is a greater chance of recurrence than an initial case. Some people might treat patients preventatively with low dose heparin. Have your history and file reviewed by a MFM (maternal fetal medicine) specialist to determine if other tests are necessary and if any prophylactic (preventative) treatment will be to your benefit.
