Barbara, Sounds like it's nothing because you've had a good work-up. It might be sensitivity around an old scar. It can also be costochondritis. That's inflammation at the joint between the ribs and the breast bone ....... there's cartilage there. This is not uncommon. If it truly breast pain and not costochondritis, this should be folowed and not ignored and if testing remains negative, good! Other things that may be important are: how old are you, are you still menstruating, are you on any medication, are you on hormones, do you notice any leakage from the nipples do you have any other medical problems, if menstruating, are your periods regular, and that's only for starters.

BTW, I have a patient who had a D&C and has a diagnosis of complex endometrial hyperplasia without atypia. She said that she searched the internet and could only find it *with atypia*. She appreciated the time I had spent with her in person and on the phone but wanted more information. Since I had told her all there was to tell, I suggested whe write to the Women's Forum and I'd write in on *the internet* for her :-)
