Cervical Polyp-miscarriage-blood clots(medical opinion or similiar experiences?)

Hello. In April of this year I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks. I had gotten very sick one night and then my water broke(didn't know what it was at the time). I went to my dr. and she admitted me to the hospital. I ended up having to stay for 2 weeks. I was told that I had developed blood clots in my pelvic region(pelvic thrombophlebits?). The blood clots then moved to my lungs, which is when I was moved to intensive care. They finally figured out I had blood clots and was put on Heparin and finally I started getting better. I obviously lost my baby during all of this. My question was, at first my doctors told me that I would probably never know what caused my infection. I have subsequently gone to my doctor(after being taken off Coumaden after 3 months) and we went over all my test(many)- from the hospital. He also ran some immune tests(for blood clotting problems-negative). Then, he saw that I had a cervical polyp during my pregnancy(he wasn't the dr. that diagnosed the polyp). When I went in at 10 1/2weeks, one of my dr.'s said that the reason I had bleeding was because of this polyp and that I didn't have anything to worry about- I wasn't going to have a miscarriage. Well, my other doctor thinks that possibly the polyp caused the infection to begin with and I was wondering anyone's thoughts on this. And also, will this affect my future pregnancies or concieving? I appreciate your help. Sorry this was so long. Kelly
