Lea, I've been having similar symptoms with ovulation and before a period. I haven't discussed this too much with my doctor yet, so I can't really help you much there.

I realize you've heard this before, but I caution you against taking so much Ibuprofen. Not only is it not healthy, but your body can adjust to the pain medication you take.

I have found with myself that after taking a medication regularly for a while, it's effectiveness decreases. It can be especially worse it seems if the drug is for pain. I used to take as much (OTC) pain med as necessary; eventually pain medications no longer worked with my body. I had to learn to cut down and to take the pills only as directed. It took a little bit, but after a while taking just two Tylenol helped a simple headache. I couldn't believe it.

It is hard to suddenly change routine, You are going to have alot of pain before things start to get better *by taking less* of the med. It takes willpower almost to get through it, without taking too much pain medication.

I still take Tylenol or Ibuprofen, and sometimes it doesn't always work. But now I at least don't go overboard. If things are too bad, I can always call the doctor.

I hope this can help you! : )
