It doesn't seem quite fair, does it, to be evaluated for one problem and then find something completly unexpected. >

Your regular gyn (or the RE, for that matter), could certainly do the D&C, but if you are more comfortable seeing hte oncologist, than by all means do so. >2. Is it likely I'll have to have a hysterectomy. I know this would

Unless they find something a lot worse on the full D&C, a hysterectomy is highly UNLIKELY. You may need progestin therapy(provera or another one called megace) for about 6 months. Then a repeat D&C to make sure the progestins worked. >
