The fibroid is probably not causing the pain. The risk of the fibroid to be cancerous is zero. Fibroid is a very common situation and I saw (or heard of) only one sarcoma in 15 years. The chance of medical treatments to reduce the size is very low. There is no need to do anything unless the fibroid causes trouble: Pain actually related to it, bleeding, sterility, big size (> 10 cms). If there is nothing, do nothing
