Irregular Menstrual CycleFrom: Jody (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 Aug 1997 08:43:11 -0500 (CDT)
Seven months ago I stopped taking birth control so we could begin trying to get pregnant. I went two months without having a period, and my doctor prescribed 10 days of Provera to get things started again. This worked, but then I went another two months, and my doctor gave me Provera again. The next month I had a normal period, but now I've gone ANOTHER two months without having a period. My question is whether this is normal for women who have recently gone off birth control pills, or could this mean that there is a more serious problem? Every time I miss a period I get my hopes up that I'm pregnant, and it's so disappointing when the results are negative.
