Hi Lisa,

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

You have been given some very good advice from Dr. Klein and some of the other "regulars" on this forum. Isn't this a wonderful place?!!

As you can tell, it's perfectly normal to feel nervous about your first visit. I had my second prenatal visit yesterday and I was nervous too - and this is my 5th pregnancy! :) You didn't mention the date of your first appointment so I don't know how much "study time" you have between now and then. I highly recommend reading the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting". It follows a month by month format and is very informative. Actually there are many excellent books on pregnancy that you can check out at your local library.

One more thing, if your doctor will be doing a routine ultrasound, ask if he/she can record it for you. Be sure to bring in a blank VCR tape. It makes a great keepsake!

Best wishes to you..let us know how your appointment goes!

Sincerely,
