Contraindications to HRT

Hi,

I am 50 years old and considering HRT in the near future. Last year, my sister's daughter (my niece) was diagnosed with a germ cell (3.5 lb. teratoma) ovarian cancer, Stage II. This was detected with untra-sound and a blood marker test (and sheer dumb luck!). She had *NO* symptoms (age 26). She had the ovary removed and 4 chemo treatments. To date, her blood marker has remained negative and the future looks very bright to the extent that the dr. said, "You were very lucky." My question is: with my niece being a blood relative, would this be a reason for me to be cautious about taking HRT. My gyn did a CA125 test on my last pelvic and it was normal.
