Another Miscarriage

I'm back, I wrote a cuople months ago about having a possible incompetent cervix and the miscarriage in December. I found out last Wednesday that I was pregnant again, and exactly one week later(yesterday) I had another miscarriage. I was going to be 6 weeks today. The doctor seems to think that two miscarriages in a womens life is very common. I would like to know if this would be true. Plus the doctor said that I probably wouldn't need a D&C since I was so early, but next Thursday I will go in for another "Quant" to make sure that the numbers get close to zero so that we know if I am still retaining any tissue. Could someone please tell me if it is really safe to wait that long. I don't want to hemmorage, and I just want to know if this iss normal procedure and what you think about this happening twice in a row. Last time I was 14 weeks pregnant this time 6. Thanks sorry so long, very upset and very depressed. Thanks Jamie
