Thank you for your response to my question regarding statistics of ovarian cancer. You asked about my staging, or should I say lack of staging. I wrote to the forum in May (14, 15, or 16) regarding my surgery. My doctor was so sure that I did not have cancer that he removed the "large cyst" by cutting it into pieces to fit through the small opening. It was not until the lab report came back that we were aware that it was cancer. He did not inspect the abdominal area. My oncologist said that may case was unusual. He said that I was atleast a stage 1c and there was no need to expose me to additional surgery because the end result would be the same ....6 treatments of taxol and carboplatin. I will check out the referances that you mentioned. Again, thank you for your response..
