Reply: R.Daniel: "Re: Keflex/clubsiella(sp?)" Today, I was diagnosed with clubsiella(sp?) and prescribed 1000mg of kelfex a day. I was originally diagnosed with a UTI and prescribed Bactrim DS twice a day. 1. I am very curious as to what causes clubsiella. 2. How can it be prevented? 3. How has my course of bactrim affected this infection? 4. What are the side effects to kelfex? 5. Is this disease passed between partners as bladder infections can be? 6. I have had about 4 bladder infections in the past 3 years- should I see a urologist or am I safe with my OB/GYN? 7. I have expeiencing back pain, is this a typical side effect of this infection?
