Does "add-back" cause menstruation?

I would like to know if Premarin 0.625 once a day could cause menstration if taken with the GnRh analogue Suprecur. Brief History: I started using Suprecur on March 3rd. I menstruated for 1st 2 months, though the 2nd month was nothing compared to usual. Had my oestradiol measured after 12 weeks. Had only dropped to 46 so decided against using add-back. Had it measured again after 20 weeks. It had dropped to 26 and as I was having really bad headaches decided to start on the add back. I had only been taking it for 4 days when I noticed some slight spotting. 2 days later my period came. I believe it was an anovulatory period as I had no breast tenderness etc etc, but I did have some pain and needed to use a 50mg suppository of Indacin.

I feel really bad as my gynaecologist has never used add-back before. I said I wouldn't use Suprecur without it. She thought it might make me worse as I don't react well to hormonal treatments. It actually helped my headaches and didn't make me feel bad at all. I live in Japan and have adenomyosis and I think some bowel endo. She believes my period came due to the add-back but I have checked lots of literature and this doesn't seem to happen. Any opinion would be gratefully received. Thank you very much. Sharon.
