Problems with a NewbornFrom: skylark (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Jul 1997 23:13:51 -0400 (EDT)
A friend just had a baby. I am trying to help her find information regarding a problem they are having with the baby. She had a baby boy at 9:35am on the 27th. He was born at 35 weeks gestation. He weighed 6 lbs 2 oz; and was 19" long. The only apparent medical problem at birth was a mild case of Jondice (sp?). Ok, the problem is that since his birth he hasn't eaten anything. He looks good and fat/healthy, acts hungry. He will take a bottle and eat a little but throws it back up a few minutes later. She has tried to breastfeed and the bottle. They've tried 4 different types of formula, including a soy based one. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? advice? suggestions????
