Oh Dr. Laurie....From: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 29 Jul 1997 21:12:17 -0500 (CDT)
Hi There, Me Again :) I spoke with the RE's nurse because I was concerned that this possible LA-CAH testing was going to get swept under the rug since I am pregnant. She checked with the Dr. and he says if my OB/GYN thinks there is a good chance this could be the diagnosis, then I should have the ACTH Stim Test done soon because if it is so, there could be developmental implications for the fetus (if it's a girl). After some discussion with my OB today, we decided I should have the test done. Are there any differences in the ACTH Stim Test itself when given to a pregnant patient? Or is it the exact same test? If the diagnosis is confirmed, what is the treatment? Thank you. I am grateful for your input as always. P.S. Nauseated and tired 24 hours a day and loving every minute of it! :)
