Re: Early foetal heart detection on u/sFrom: Terry (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 21 Jul 1997 09:44:56 -0500 (CDT)
Sorry, I missed the earlier thread of discussion. Dr. Timor-Trisch’s table of Early Ultrasound Evaluation is good. I would also refer you to an article on the OBGYN.net about the Embryonic heart rate. http://www.obgyn.net/english/pubs/features/dubose/ehr-age.htm This message may be passé by now. Incorrect menstrual dates are common, so that does not seem a real problem. The “retrochorionic fluid”, might indicate a problem, however, at this early date, a sonogram later, at about 8-9 weeks after your LMP should provide better answers. That should be in about a week, correct? Good luck with the pregnancy. Also, in early pregnancy, I don’t think there is any good time to worry. Try to relax. Adrenaline may constrict uterine blood supply, which is not the best for the pregnancy.
