Help .... U/S evaluation questionFrom: Ann (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 18 Jul 1997 05:08:28 -0500 (CDT)
Hi once again !! I posted to the forum on July 11th re: early u/s showing no heartbeat. I had a scheduled transvaginal ultrasound this morning. I should be 7/40 + 2/7 by LMP. The scan showed gestational sac ... nothing much else. The sonographer reckoned that my dates were out & put me at 6/40 .... so do I worry ? Also the sonographer seemed much more interested in what she described as retrochorionic fluid ... what is this ? What does this mean ? The only other useful thing that I was told was a corpus luteum measurement ? of 25mm .... What's that about ? My HcG levels are "within normal ranges for 6 weeks gestation' apparently. So ... would you all reckon that all's well ? They've scheduled another transvaginal u/s for August 1st. Thanks in advance
