At 45 y/o with this sort of bleeding, a normal pathology report on the D&Cand a normal appearing uterus, the choices are 1)do nothing if the bleeding is not severe enough to become anemic; 2)continue oral contraceptives and wait for amelioration of the bleeding; 3)use progesterone orally in the second half of the month to support the lining of the uterus; 4)next to last resort... endometrial ablation if all else fails and problems ensue; 5)last resort (extremely unlikely with your history).... the H word.
