Professor Dept of Ob/Gyn > Dear Dr. Linda, Yes we had intercourse everyday days 9-18 and twice on days 14 and 15. But now I am confused...after reading a prior post it said that actually intercourse the 5 days prior to and on the day of ovulation were the best for concieving. Is this wrong? My husband is a veterinarian and we have done our own "sperm analysis" on his microscope before, for consecutive days and they(the sperm) seem very viable and plentiful even after 3 or 4 days...we figured we would give it a whirl and make sure we hit the 5 days prior to and on ovulation. I am a little confused. I have never and still don't smoke, drink or over eat. I am 5'2" 120 lbs and in pretty good shape. My OB actually thought I was too skinny last time I was pregnant( 130lbs at 38 weeks) so this last year I have tried to gain a little weight. I have tried doing everything possible to make it easier to concieve with no luck. Any suggestions as to questions to ask my doc? Any advice would be welcome, thank you.
