I'm certainly Not a psychiatrist but I do know that CONTROL plays a Large part in Bulimia...Hense, perhaps the reason for wanting to control What and How you eat.

Amenorrhea: the absence of menstration, is a Common side effect of Bulimia, they tend to go hand in hand.

Please discuss this and the strong desire to exercise, which also goes along with Bulimia, with your health care professionals.

Elizabeth this disease is about Self Image or Lack of a good self image. The old adage, "I'm Never Good Enough", is what this disease is all about!!!

Good luck to you stick with it it's your LIFE that's at stake.
