AnnMarie -

I know the doctors can answer about the medical reasons, but for what it's worth . . . Our first child was a honeymoon baby, due 9 months to the day :-) It took us 8 months to conceive with the second. After 6 months I was at my doctors office asking what was wrong with me. He gave me an RX (actually wrote it out on one of his RX pads) for "long walks and romantic evenings." He did assure me that if I did not conceive in a few more months we would discuss further testing. (He did show me how to chart my cycles correctly too.)

While I am in no way trying to may light of those struggling with infertility, my doctor explained on my first prenatal visit that he didn't want me to stress out after just 6 months of trying. He said it isn't that unusual for it to take that long or longer.

Good luck!

Holly P.S. I saved that RX. I tease my husband that we don't have to wait for baby number three to take the RX ;-)
