I think an important aspect of when to conceive, is to know exactly when
you normally ovulate. If you have a 28 day cycle, then it 12-14 days
before a period. However if you have shorter or longer cycles, women
ovulate either sooner or later, thus perhaps having intercourse at the
wrong time. Track your cycles for a few months, and see what your norm
is. Also, it seems your ovaries alternate, so one month might be
different from the previous month. Find a good book or two that discuss
hormonal changes and Fertility issues. One of my favorites is: Taking
Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. Easy to read and covers a
wide range of topics.
