As with many things in medicine, there are conflicting studies (for example, Zikopoulos et al in Human Reproduction 8(4): 563-7, 1993 Apr found no difference between IUI and timed intercourse). But, three more recent randomized studies DO show benefit: Arcaini L et al., Journal of Reproductive Medicine 41 (8): 614-8, 1996 Aug. Chung CC et al, Human Reproductioin 10(12): 3139-41, 1995 Dec. Gregoriou O et al., International Journal of Gynaecology & Obstetrics, 48(1): 55-9, 1995 Jan. By the way, with free Medline soon available over the internet, everyone will be able to do searches and find relevant articles. Good luck with your Fertinex treatment!
