Mary- As they say, "if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it's a duck"! This sounds like HPV. All the other stuff you mentioned (punctation, mosaicism, etc) can be caused by anything that creates dysplastic (potentially premalignant) cervical tissue. However, HPV has a penchant for creating a condition called koilocytosis that as far as I know are unique to HPV. I'm assuming that "condylomatous atypia" refers to koilocytosis in the path report. In medical practice we try not to swear to absolutes. Very few things are "always" or "never". However, this Pap report sounds strongly like HPV. Another way to approach this is to sit down with your pathologist and actually review the findings. This is almost always helpful.
