Pregnancy after quitting smoking

I quit smoking a month ago (I smoked about 7 cigarettes a day). My husband and I would like to become pregnant but we want to give a baby every possible chance for a healthy start.

We are both young and in good health. In your opinion, how long should we wait before trying to conceive so that a baby will have no harmful effects from my past smoking?
