We have a Children's Hospital here, too (San Diego), and I know what a wonderful job they do, so at least you can be comforted in knowing that he's in excellent hands there! You're right, as a mom you definitely worry. I think it's in our nature and no matter how wonderful the doctor is, we are still concerned! So....ask all the questions you can, kiss your son on the way to the OR, take a deep breath and wait "patiently" for the good news from the surgeon.
