Loriann, The fetal heart is not heard at 13 weeks in almost 50% of patients. The phrase "too deep in the pelvis" has no meaning other than he was trying to give you some reasurance as to why the fetal heart was not heard. I'm sure that you will be able to hear the FHTs next visit.
