Cyst?From: Dotti (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Jun 1997 11:18:28 -0500
I am 46 years old. 2 years ago had trouble with periods for about a year. Took various meds. Was diagnosed with ovarian cysts (both ovaries). Had cancer screen blood test, normal. Dr. submitted request to ins. co. for authorization to remove ovaries, ins. asked for additional ultrasound. Before I could have ultrasound my right-side dull pain stopped and my periods became normal. I elected to do nothing. That is then, this is now...periods have been normal until this last week. I had normal period three weeks ago (although it came a week early), lasted normal 6 days, then last week started another period and right-side dull pain (around kidney/hip area) started again. This pain actually returned 5 days before 2nd period started, and after I had climbed on some rocks. I had noticed years before when this first started that some physical activity made this pain heighten, although it is always dull and alway interfers with my cycle. Could this be cyst related? Read about cyst and pain but nothing is said of dull constant discomfort.
