Irregular menstruationFrom: Adele (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 23 Jun 1997 05:17:49 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I'm 31 years old and have been menstruating since I was 10 years old. My period has only be late once. When I became pregnant with my son 5 years ago. Three months ago I stopped menstruating. Two home pregnancy tests came out negative as well as the test at the doctor's. He suggested that we wait six months to see if my period would resume naturally. Three months passed with no menstruation then 12 days ago I finally started but now I'm worried because it hasn't stopped. I started bleeding heavily, 6 extra-absorbancy tampons daily, on the fifth day. It's now the 12th and I'm using about three extra -abs. pads daily. Is this normal after having had amenorrhea for three months. Should I go back to my doctor? Thank you for your time.
-- Sincerely, Adele
