how to reduce junk emailFrom: Bruce (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Jun 1997 10:47:21 -0500
The five largest junk email'er organizations on the Internet have "in theory" agreed to a standard for removing yourself from their mailing lists. This was due to a lot of pressure from major Internet service and backbone providers and the courts where these companies have been successfully sued. That is why you don't see them anymore on AOL, Prodigy, Compuserve and the other big providers. Once they where legally removed from the big providers they moved onto individual Internet email accounts which is why junk mail has greatly increased for all of us. I say "in theory" because I don't know if this will really work and will reduce junk mail. To add your name to the junk email remove list see: http://www.iemmc.org FYI Bruce -- Bruce Speyer Elecomm Internet Applications Home of OBGYN.net 512-451-2842, FAX: 512-377-5626 Physician Directed Network URL: http://www.elecomm.com http://www.obgyn.net EMAIL: bruce.speyer@elecomm.com bruce.speyer@obgyn.net A Texas HUB and QISV
