Number 1. the person doing the ultrasound was a technician Not a nurse, (we don't know the first thing about doing ultrasound).

Maybe if the techinician told you what she was doing you would have felt better. Techs can't tell you what they find because they are Not physicians as the radiologist Is so, maybe a explanation and a few kind words at this point would have made you feel better.

The radiologist was using this time to read the ultrasound and to be sure that a correct diognosis could be given to your doctor.Some-times a re-take has to be done.

She come back with this im better then >you attatude saying " Ok, you can go now" When I asked again if she or the

Here again, a little empathy for the patient would go a Long way in making you feel better. Remember, some doctors do not allow the radiologist to give test results to their patients. You need to have this aggrement with your doctor Before you have the test done.

Again I am sorry that you were treated in this way. Carrie, all people working in doctors offices are Not nurses. Just because someone has a white uniform on does not make them a nurse. Perhaps you could discuss this with your physician when you go in for your visit. This may well be an attitude he?she would want to correct.

With that I hung up. I am SOO mad i could spit nils. All I want >to know is what is wrong.If its Hormons then fine, if i am Pregnant then

Can you call back and ask to have your doctor call you back when he does his phone calls to patients? I would not ask the "nurse" for results just to please have Dr. ? call you back.I for one do not think this is an unreasonable request.

I tried to tell my gyn that most if not all of my tests turn >out that way but he didnt believe me.

If you are unhappy with your care discuss it with your doctor and see what he/she has to say..

I am what is known as a pain in the butt...I never have tests done that I don't have an appointment right away with my doc to get the results OR I have him instruct the person in charge of doing the tests to give Me the resultswhen they read them...Remember my son-in-law is my BC surgeon....You'd better believe He gives me all the answers I want. Hang in there and let us know what the results are. Also remember test result are always a Big thing to the person having the test!
