Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Throid" I had a hysterectomy & oopherectomy in December, 1996. Presently, I am taking Premarin (.625 mg daily), and just this month I started taking testosterone. My doctor prescribed 10 mg every other day for 10 days each month to help with libido and energy, etc. I've been doing some reading in several books and am discovering that this may be too high of a dosage. I would like to hear your opinions on the proper dosage and also, does the testosterone build up in your system (from month to month) or would negative side effects happen quickly.
