Dear Diana, I also have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed about three years ago, so have been living with it for quite some time. I have tried many different meds, and have found that taking amitriptyline (25-50 mgs) at bedtime, Paxil upon arising, and pain medication when needed (I take Motrin 400-800 mgs), is the best approach for me. The heavy duty NSAIDs just made me too miserable. I exercise every day so I won't stiffen up, and I make myself get up and go to work. I do aerobic type exercising at least three times a week, swimming is best. It is the combination of meds that are making you confused, and believe me, it doesn't get any better. You need to find a better combination. I also suffer from allergies and am taking Zyrtec and cimetidine for them. Right now I am taking allergy injections to see if I can get some relief from them. I also had a hysterectomy January 22nd. It took two months to recover from that. I am a nursing student with one year remaining, and I work 32 to 40 hours a week in a nursing home. Several people make the remark "I don't know how you can always be in such a good mood all of the time!" Like I said before, I make myself! I will not spend my days laying around the house, I would rather be dead! You can do it! It just takes a little time to get it all right (the meds, the exercise, etc.). I will be praying for you! Marian
