Suprecur that hasn't worked (yet)!?

After receiving very reassuring advice about oestrogen only add-back from Drs Shanahan and Kompanietz, . I went back to my gynaecologist ready to go ahead with the add-back. I had a blood test done to measure my serum estradiol levels only to find out the level was higher then before I started taking Suprecur. It was 43pg/ml, whereas it had been 37pg/ml before. (Of course this was at the beginning of my menstrual cycle, day 2 and not before ovulation) This blood test was done 10 weeks after starting Suprecur. As I mentioned in my previous post, my gynaecologist has never used add-back before and I did as much research as I could living in the rice fields of Northern Japan! Among the articles I read was one by Barbieri (SP?) on the Oestrogen Threshold Hypothesis. In this he states serum estradiol levels must fall below 30pg/ml for the endo to "die". He suggests this level should be maintained for 3 months before add-back begins.

The reason I finally agreed to using the GnRH analogue was because I developed very bad constipation around ovulation and menstration,(even enemas didn't work!) sharp groin pain and some rectal bleeding and sharp pain right before starting my period which interfered with my ability to use my NSAID suppositories. A lap. revealed no hernia, no visible endo on my intestines or anywhere else, only a uterus twice the normal size due to adenomyosis. I also had a scope inside my bowels which revealed no abnormalities.

My questions are: 1. What would you do next? We are waiting another month, then doing another blood test.(I am not really wanting to use Lupron.) 2. Although my period has now stopped (It came the first 2 months)and I have no dysmenorrhoea, the bowel thing hasn't improved (I'm vegetarian, believe me I get enough fibre!) and the groin pain is present almost every day. If this was due to endo, can the endo "die" at my present serum estradiol levels? Barbieri suggests a window of between 30-45pg/ml. We have attained that without add-back(!), however we haven't gone below 30 for 3 months. 3. Can the 3 months I've been taking Suprecur be "not-counted" as far as the 6 month limit is concerned? I am enjoying this state of amenorrhea and another 6 months would be wonderful!(Only I would like the bowel/groin thing to be fixed and my uterus to shrink if possible.) 4. Could we increase the Suprecur dose? (I'm 158cm, 57kg.)

Sorry, this is so long. Thank you very much Sharon
