Pertaining to HRTFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 2 Jun 1997 08:25:15 -0400 (EDT)
I've been in the down-regulation stage for my IVF cycle, and due to being overscheduled, the clinic kept me on lupron for an extra 5 days after I was ready to start humegon/metrodin. This is not my first cycle with lupron, but it is the first time I've been kept on it for an extra period of time. If this is what menopause will truly be like, I think the world will appreciate it if I go the HRT route when the time comes. Either HRT or some nice anti-depressant... Yikes, I'm HOT, I can't get a deep sleep, and I know I am being IRRATIONAL. In one of my lighter moods I can imagine the news reports, "Fertility patient commits mayhem; insanity plea considered by lawyer." Is this really what I have to look forward to? Is accelerated menopause worse than the real thing? I can't wait to get back to the meds with the big needles tonight. Luanne
