Dear Docs, I just had a curious question. Is there a genetic component to Endometriosis? Both my Aunts on my moms side have had severe endo along with my cousin. I'm not sure about my mom-she is a basket case-hasn't been to see a obgyn since my brother was born 19 years ago. Can't get her to go...Anyway, but at my laparoscopy in Dec. my doc found some endo and lasered it. My sister has complained for years of bad menstrual cycles and non cyclic pain.Was just wondering if there was any correlation - all my female relatives seem to have it...on my moms side...just wondering :) Thanks Anne N.
