I am very pleased to announce the addition of a dermatologist from Romania to our growing list of physians world-wide working (for free) to help make the Women's Health Forum better every day... Dr. Catalin Popescu, has answered questions on this forum in the last few weeks so most of you are already familar with him. As he states in the following (short) CV there are many questions women have about skin and related conditions and he will address these problems. Let's get the questions coming in and give a warm world-wide welcome to Doctor Catalin Popescu. I received this post this morning. Dear Barbara, Hope you won't get offended because I call you Barbara (BTW, why don't you call me Catalin?). Here is a very short CV of mine. I am 33 years-old and I've graduated in 1989 from the Faculty of Medicineof Bucharest, ROMANIA. I am working in the Dermatology Department of N.Gh. Lupu Colentina Hospital,Bucharest, and I'm involved in current clinical activities and in teaching activities as well (I'm holding a position of what in UK might be called Lecturer in Dermatology, beeing employed by the Faculty of Medicine of Bucharest). My wife, Raluca, is also a dermatologist and she is working in the same Dermatology Department. We exchange ideas and opinions regarding our patients (and others) and would appreciate the opportunity to communicate with doctors from abroad. We've already published some articles in the Romanian Journal of Dermatology and other Romanian journals. Last year we published here in Romania a Compendium of Dermatology (in Romanian) and we are now working on a study of atopic dermatitis which hopefully will be accepted for publication in a major dermatological journal from UK or USA. For the moment neither I, nor my wife work in private practice (the conditions here in Romania, at least for the time being, are not very encouraging for doctors to have a private practice).
