If there is no contact of the placenta with the fibroid, the incidence
of preterm labor is close to none; if the placenta overlies a fibroid,
the chance is about 14% (per Williams Obstetrics).

fibroids are -- if there is one, especially a lrge one in the lower
uterine segment, the baby will likely stay transverse. You could
discuss with yur doctor the possibility of trying to turn the baby to
vertex (head first) at 36-37 weeks, but if it stays transverse, you'll
need a c-section.
