Yet I wonder,
>do they do something that other labs don't? Is it that they test for They both believe very strongly in autoimmune and alloimmune causes for infertility and pregnancy loss (the alloimmune stuff is very controversial according to what I have read and what the REs I've talked to have said). Both labs do more esoteric tests (like natural killer cell assays, HLA typing of both partners, and some others that are so out of the mainstream I can't even remember what they are)
I realize that

It means all the more because I

I just had the full antiphospholipid panel done because I've had 2
miscarriages and my anticardiolipin was at the upper limits of normal.
One component of the 16 (the anticardiolipin IgA) was weakly positive.
It really didn't provide much more info than the basic anticardiolipn
and lupus anticoagulant and it was quite expensive. I think the basics
are probably enough (my RE told me the same thing, but we doctors are
terrible patients)
