Another Diabetes Question

From: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)

Dear Doctors,

My first pregnacy was borderline diabetic and I went on a diet restriction. (My daughter was still very large but okay at delivery) The other post reminded me of a question; Will I be more likely to have gestational diabetes with my next pregnacy? If so could it continue past the birth? One set of grandparents were diabetic, but my mom nor her siblings have turned up diabetic. I myself am a closet sugar addict and was wondering if I'm headed down the road to sugar abstention. Thanks.
