bandel's ring (?), rh-factor incompatibilityFrom: wendy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 15 May 1997 22:38:08 -0500 (CDT)
I am looking for information regarding a birth complication described as a cord or band around the neck preventing normal vaginal delivery. The names I have heard are possibly Bandel's ring, or Hansen's girdle. Ring any bells with anyone? I also would like to know about the survival rates of babies who are Rh-incompatible with the mother, where the mother has a history of one normal birth, two stillborns, and one last pregnancy with wildly erratic antibody counts throughout the pregnancy until birth - baby was delivered cesarean and received two full blood transfusions after birth due to jaundice. Is there any risk that the last baby will develop liver problems as a result of jaundice at birth, or any other increased risk due to these complications?
