Cramps/No periodsFrom: Maureen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 11 May 1997 13:56:10 -0500 (CDT)
After medical management for fibroids (lupron, depoprovera,Lupron again) I decided on a hysteroscopic resection for my submucosal fibroid. The problem is that it took 8 months for my periods to return. I think this was due to the drugs takeing a long time to get out of my system, although I know that the lupron should have been gone in 4-8 weeks. I don't know how long Depo-provera takes. The whole time I had menstrual cramps, every day for 8 months. When my period returned, the cramps went away. This is all a mystery to me and my doctors. I did have a laparoscopy before the surgery and it showed nothing but fibroids, no endo. What causes these cramps, I have seen other women here report them too.
