My hymen never ruptured!From: anonymous@obgyn.netThu, 1 May 1997 01:38:20 -0500 (CDT)
Nine years ago, I had intercourse for the first time. I didn't bleed that time, it barely hurt, and I have never bled since. My first partner claimed I was lying when I told him I had been a virgin. A couple of months later, I went to an OB-GYN, who told me that my hymen was indeed intact; she didn't believe me- apparently- when I told her that I had had intercourse several times already. I figured maybe the guy was a bit small so that's why my hymen didn't rupture. Well, after that, I had intercourse with 2 other guys- the second has been my husband for several years. So I have had intercourse countless times in the meantime. What is weird (I think?) is that penetration is STILL always difficult at first- I can feel a thick "ring" preventing my husband from penetrating at first- once we get past that ring, everything slides fine. But it's almost like being a virgin every time we have sex, because his penis never just "slides right in" (and it's not because his penis is too large- he's probably right around average) I haven't been back to an OB-GYN since then because it was such a negative experience. Our sex life is great- but I guess I'm just wondering what's wrong with me? Am I technically STILL a virgin, after all these years? Is penetration always supposed to be this difficult at first? Why did my hymen never rupture? Please help!
